Hey great channel. Must more in-depth and intelligent then a lot of “help channels” or other poker strategy videos.

I’ve been playing for over 10 years fairly avidly and I’m still very interested in the next vid. Keep up the good work

I agree with the Harrington suggestions. They are the best books I’ve read.

Please consider reviewing “Every Hand Revealed” by Gus Hansen. Of all the poker books I’ve read, this book offers a lot of thought process regarding actions at the table considering position, player tendencies, bet sizing, etc., and results for nearly every hand he played at the 2007 Aussie Millions, which he won. I think this book fits in with this video post. I would love you hear your thoughts. Thanks!

To be honest. If you are playing poker online for the money and not the passion. Sadly, you are making a stupid mistake.

If you want to make money online. I would recomment ‘affiliate marketing’.

If people put as much effort into achieving something that might have a positive impact on life, as they do trying to win a quick buck at the casino then the world would be a much better place.

on things that might be more beneficial to the community e.g. education, healthcare, affordable housing e.t.c. Also, if everyone reads these books that people keep referencing, then the element of luck comes back into the game i.e. Everyone knows what hands to play and in what position, how much to bet e.t.c. My point is there are no winners in poker, whether you make a profit or not. It is indisputably immoral to want to make money by not offering anything back to your community.

There is a reason why Online Poker is banned in the U.S.A; it is not an asset to society, but a detriment to it. For someone to beat the game, many other people have to lose at it. If you’re a professional gambler, you job is essentially to fuel the misery of other losing players, who most likely have an addiction due to depression, relationship failure or any other psychological issues they might be experiencing. Money lost at poker to fuel someone else’s extravagant lifestyle is better spent

I have just read ” The theory of poker ” by David Sklansky. It was a good book but written a long time ago and the game has changed a lot since then. So some of his ” theory” does not apply anymore. There is not a single mention of 3 betting never mind 4bet or 5bet etc but good for basic stills.

even tho im a bad poker player, this is good advice..Never play free online poker expecting to learn much..you wont.. Play at a real casino..

Where do you say I should practice poker? Ive been playing and watching poker for almost a year but I’ve only played on crappy free to play websites and I feel like I can’t learn anything from there because your opponents are really bad. Do I need to play with “real” money to really start learning poker?

  19. mattyrabbit says:

You can never stop learning as a poker player! Pick up a poker book but “take it with a grain of salt”. If something is new and works for you add it to your game, if it doesnt then drop it. No harm in learning new things or trying to identify holes in your game

Hold’em Brain by King Yao. I just started reading this book and it’s really well written. have you read this one, and if so what are your opinions? I love the idea about taking two to five ideas or concepts from books. something I will start to do. great videos Blake!
